Morgan Finley is a proven environmental scientist with more than 10 years of experience. He completed his MSc at Royal Road University in 2016 focusing on environmental toxicology and better understanding the relationship between contaminants and receptors.
In 2024, Morgan returned to Azimuth after a 4.5-year family sabbatical sailing over 40,000 nautical miles and visiting 27 countries. His offshore sailing background required resilience, a focus on safety, and this adventure strengthened his ability to find solutions in complex situations, providing a strong foundation for both field work and project management. He takes a lead role in complex projects involving fish habitat assessment, fish capture, invertebrate collection, biological processing and tissue collection, sediment and water sampling, and water quality monitoring in marine, lake, and creek systems. His experience with mine sites and infrastructure projects has expanded into a comprehensive role, where he is actively involved in all stages, from field data collection to analysis, interpretation, and final reporting.
When he has free time, you’ll find Morgan drifting around BC on a boat with his family.
