Elk Valley Adaptive Management Plan

Azimuth helped Teck Coal Ltd develop an Adaptive Management Plan (AMP) for the Elk Valley and continues to assist with implementation.  

Azimuth and ESSA Technologies began helping Teck develop the Adaptive Management Plan in 2015. The intent of the Adaptive Management Plan is to support implementation of the Elk Valley Water Quality Plan. From 2017 onwards Azimuth assisted Teck with implementation by developing and applying early warning triggers for key water quality constituents, as well as for calcite and biological metrics related to fish and invertebrates. Azimuth co-authors the annual water quality report where water quality triggers are applied to the entire Elk Valley coal mining area.
